"Do Seek Their Meat From God"

Reading Charles G.D. Roberts' short story causes me to think about the differences between animals and human beings. As I recall the two little dead cubs in the cave at the end of the story, I sense the sadness and pity that overcame the humans. On the contrary, I doubt that the panther had the same compassion towards the dead kid. Humans, through technology, have the power and the advantage to enhance, to protect and to take control of their lives. However, animals are powerless in that they are incapable of changing their circumstances. Their only choice is to fend for themselves by adapting to their surroundings. These environments have often been affected by humans. For example, when in search for food, animals must often go to where humans have settled. This scarcity of resources for animals shows the power advantage that human beings possess over animals.

Love [luhv]
noun, verb, loved, lov·ing.

Noun

a feeling of warm personal attachment or deep affection, as for a parent, child, or friend.
strong predilection, enthusiasm, or liking for anything: her love of books.
The object or thing so liked

Love is a simple yet complicated word. It can be used in many different ways, and also defined in millions of ways. Four letters pulls everything together. Love is present everywhere. It resembles air, having different elements and always floating around me. The four very different type of love resembles my life.

I live in an atmosphere in which warmth is always felt through the loving relationship between my mom and I. Everything she does is out of a loving heart and in hopes of providing support for those around her. Another way she expresses her love is through her cooking. She provides meals for me daily even when I’m not hungry or when she’s had a long day.

As for me, I like to show love to those around me in subtle ways. For example, I enjoy making people smile in hopes that it will brighten their day even though this act of love is small. I also enjoy treating someone a cup of coffee on a cold and rainy day, sending a warm text to ask about how someone’s doing lately, or writing a note that shows how much I appreciate them. Love is like a precious gift that turns simple stones into jewellery.

“If you would be loved, love and be lovable.” - Benjamin Franklin

Dating relationships rely heavily on love. It is having someone who cares and is willing to spend all their time and attention on you even when they know everything about you. Perhaps they know more about you than you even know about yourself. Couples tend to stick together to try to find as much time with each other. They like to do things to make each other smile. Time spent with each other is always memorable because it's full of love. Every special date to them is important. The text, "I love you <3" is always repeated. No matter how many times they've heard or seen it, they always have a delightful smile.

Friendship involves a different kind of love. Friends care about each other, even though they aren't relatives or lovers, because of love. Friends might have the longest chat ever just about little things. Friends stay close for years; they know your house as well as their own. They might not know your parents’ birthdays’ but you will remember theirs. Friends stand up for you and tell you what's good for you, telling you the best thing to do in hopes to help you.

"Cherish the friend who tells you a harsh truth, wanting ten times more to tell you a loving lie." - Robert Brault

"The purpose of life is a life of purpose." -Robert Byrne

Hey everyone! This week has been  beyond amazing! Yesterday, I went to the beach and I realized that summer had already passed by ;( but the weather is still fabulous! I always love to sit by the seaside alone and read books that I really like. The beach is a sanctuary to me,its a tranquil place where I can, for a few moments, forget the troubles of reality. T
he warmth from the sun with the autumn wind breeze, along with the salty aura from the sea mix with the sweetened coffee in my mouth creates a wonderful contrast, each different and calming to my senses, but blend together harmoniously. The rough situation that I have in my life all of a sudden is gone and I realize that we should enjoy the time we're living and of course live with love and happiness. Sadness and problems are always just the way you think of things. If you think of those situations in a different perspective, you'll aware that things isn't as bad as you thought. Life is much more simple and joyful if you enjoying your life :D

Thank you so much for reading!

Hatred confuses life; love harmonizes it.

Hatred darkens life; love illumines it."
